Description The Person You are interested in B2B marketing communications and you are considering a career in Events Marketing/Management. You are self-motivated and highly adaptable.The objective of the Events Marketing Internship is to actively promote our events and generate sign ups. Our target market is divided into 2 main segments: CEOs of growing small and medium sized businesses and Finance Professionals. Events include free workshops, paid workshops and speaking gigs at partners’, among others.Responsibilities You will work across 2 main areas of events promotion. Key areas include: - social media marketing (10%): promoting our events through social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, etc.- direct online marketing (90%): sending direct messages promoting our events to a list of database of people and groups on Linkedin. This is a part time role, minimum 2 days per week.Duties:- Promoting our events to our target audience through online channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other relevant platforms.- Using different media for promotion, text, videos as directed by the Marketing Manager.- Monitoring the engagement and conversion of events sign ups.- Suggest improvements to enhance the events sign up conversion.Essentials- Student/graduate of Marketing, Events Management or the equivalent- Passion for marketing communications and events marketing- Knowledge of online and digital marketing, including B2B social media channels and trends- Ability to use own initiative and suggest new and fresh ideas and implement- Resourceful and 'can do' attitudeDesirable- Familiar with Linkedin- Familiar with Eventbrite
