We are seeking an excellent academic to join our staff as a Lecturer in Accounting. The person appointed will have a proven record of teaching, research and publication, appropriate to career stage. He/she will be expected to make a strong contribution to the teaching programme of the Department and undertake teaching duties on the Department's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as the supervision of Master's and PhD students. The appointee will be expected to build a strong research profile, that supports the University's research strategy including affiliating to the Research Institutes, where appropriate and working with colleagues on national and international research. The appointee will be expected to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance and generate publications of international standard. Lecturer Salary Scale: €52,849 - €83,090 p.a. (7 points) Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale: €33,479 - €58,761 p.a. (14 points) Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines. *New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale. We are seeking two outstanding Lecturers to join the Chemistry Department in either Experimental Physical Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry. Appointees will be expected to build and sustain an active research programme of international standard, generate publications and support their research by obtaining external research funding. Appointees will also contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the department and supervise MSc and PhD students. The Chemistry Department at Maynooth University has research strengths in both synthetic (organic and inorganic) and physical/analytical chemistry and we are particularly interested in applicants with expertise complementary to our current research priorities in Electrochemistry, Sensor Development, Soft Matter and Biophysics. The majority of research groups in the department have interdisciplinary research programmes and applicants with interdisciplinary research experience are welcome. Applicants who can collaborate and develop strong links with existing research groups in the department are particularly encouraged to apply. The research profile of the applicant should support the University research strategy and may include affiliation to Research Institutes, where appropriate.
